This museum dedicated to the French painter Henri Matisse gathers one of the world’s most important collections of his work. The main interest of this collection is that it offers the possibility to study the artistic evolution of Matisse from the beginning of his work up to his latest work. This museum houses at the Villa des Arènes and was opened in 1963.
